Dental Crowns in Ipswich

Here at A&L, we are able to fit dental crowns on damaged teeth.

Dental crowns are restorations that protect damaged, cracked or broken-down teeth. A crown strengthens your existing damaged tooth to preserve its functionality. Dental crowns are also commonly known as caps because a crown sits over your existing tooth covering the entire outer surface.

Single-Visit Dental Crowns

We offer a unique service at A and L where we can provide you with porcelain crowns in a single visit, within approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

We use a system called CEREC, which stands for CERamic REConstruction, and uses 3D imaging and software to design your custom-made tooth. No messy impressions, temporary crowns or waiting for two weeks for the lab technician to make your crown.

We prepare the tooth for the crown, then take several images of the preparation using a sophistated intra-oral camera. A porcelain block is then placed in the milling unit, and the software is able to communicate with the milling unit to construct your crown.

We use high quality materials enabling us to match your natural tooth colour and also cementing your crown with ease, all in one appointment.

The CEREC process not only makes full crowns, it can also design partial crowns, also known as onlays or inlays, which are perfect if you are looking to replace existing large silver fillings, for a more aesthetic result.
